Meet Joanna

Rooted in the lineage of Hawaiian master Kahu Abraham Kawai’i, my practice of Lomi Lomi Nui carries forward this deeply restorative, flowing bodywork — a living tradition that honors the interconnectedness of body, mind, spirit, and ancestry. My teachers, Susan Pa’iniu Floyd and Ho’okahi Tamara Stephens — both direct students of Kahu — have passed on the depth and spirit of this tradition. For over a decade, I’ve offered sessions for those seeking self-awareness, embodiment, and contentment through a healthy, connected body.

I’ve been drawn to multidimensional and holistic modalities — including Gentle Bioenergetics by Eva Reich and Richard Overly, Polarity, energy balancing techniques, reflexology, osteopathy, fascia release, and Facemodeling® — all of which stimulate the body’s renewal processes and allow for real, visible change.
There are infinite ways to deepen my Lomi Lomi practice and widen my knowledge of the human body. Over time, I’ve learned that intuition, combined with empathy, palpation, and artistic soul, are my greatest guides.

Nature and movement are my healing ground. Like their flow, I follow my hands and find beauty in the quiet unfolding of each session. The subtle bodywork I practice invites presence and opens a realm of connection and wellbeing, and I cherish that.
